My First Giveaway Day

How exciting to be a part of Sew, Mama, Sew's Giveaway Day - Sewing and Craft Supplies!  And as it turns out, it's my very first Giveaway!


So what do I have in store for you? How about this fun book, Zakka Style by Rashida Coleman-Hale! It's filled with so many great little projects that are fast and easy to make. And it's not too late to enter the Zakka Style Sew-Along sponsored by LRstitched

    I do more sewing in the summer. I am in school during the fall/winter which doesn't leave a lot of time for sewing. If I had my way, I would be sewing all the time. :)

  14. I'm kind of bi-polar when it comes to sewing. I'll go through a period where I'll sew a ton and then I'll put it down and won't pick it up again for months. I think I sew the most in the summer because I have less going on with the kids out of school. Thank you for the opportunity to win

  23. I really wouldn't know! Obviously I am out and about more during summer but I tend to make up for it in more productive sewing spurts. During the winter I like to curl up on the couch more which means I'll be either hand sewing or working on some crochet.

  29. I'd say the season doesn't make much of a difference. I do enjoy binding in the winter--then I can snuggle under the quilt while doing the hand stitching!

  56. Summer for sure. I do my knitting in the winter. I do not know why but i think it has to do with the flow of the fabric and not being as warm to work with as yarn is.

  64. I think I sew about the same amount year round. It just depends on my MS and how I'm feeling. I spend a lot of time inside, out of the heat, in the summer which gives way for more sewing machine time!

  159. I sew more in the summer than in the winter! For me, it is a matter of weather; I live in northern Florida, where it is already too hot to be outside most days. My workroom is air conditioned, with sparkle lights rimming the ceiling, and a CD player ready to provide music to sing with as I sew.
