Remembering All The Little Things

I have let my blog side away in lieu of posting photos and updates over on Instagram. For me, it takes less time, and is a faster way to document my quilting journey.

Do you follow over there? If not, head over to @mountainquiltworks. I'd love to have you join the party!

But for a little eye candy today, this is what I have been up to most recently:

I finished this up in November! But it's very appropriate for Valentines Day, which is just around the corner. It was a fun QAL hosted by Anne Marie Chany. Fun, fun!

And then I finished my First Snow quilt, another QAL. Hmmm....I'm seeing a pattern here. In my retirement, I'm not getting anything done unless I have a deadline!  Guess there are worse problems to have, lol.

We are spending some time in Arizona for the winter, mainly to avoid the cold weather that doesn't play any favors with my arthritis. We've been having a great time, and getting more exercise, and being more active overall.  But the downside is - and you quilters will understand - I am not getting my DMRQ (daily minimum requirement of quilting).  Vitamin D, yes. Quilting, no.

I am working on some projects, so I will try to be a little more prolific and post about those when I can. For now, I will have to be content to read blogs, look at IG goodies, and surf Pinterest for my Quilting Fix.

Thanks for stopping by! Until next time,

Barb

  1. Both are lovely quilts! Where in AZ? It's my home state, and with all the rain we've been having in E. TN, I'm more homesick than usual! I am on IG, but very limited. I don't have much time for it. I far prefer blogging and getting a longer story. =) And I stay completely off Pinterest 95% of the time.

  2. I absolutely LOVE that heart quilt! What a great quilt! I have an Instagram account but I'm not in the habit of checking it or posting there. I guess I should, eh?

  3. Beautiful quilts! I rarely look at quilts on IG...not brilliant at navigating it on my computer and I won't use my phone to go online.

  4. What gorgeous finishes, Barb! That rainbow heart is really spectacular, and I love the pebbly pods quilting on it. Thanks for popping in to blog about them. I was on IG for a while, but really prefer to read blogs instead. I do understand that it takes a lot more time to write up a post; I'm behind on my own blog! Enjoy the warmth of AZ :)

  8. Although I use IG, I prefer the engagement that comes with a blogpost. IG is like flirtation while Blogging is serious commitment, in my opinion :-)
I will have to look for you on IG.
