It's 95 Outside. Why Am I Thinking About Fall

That's right - even in my lovely mountains we have been unable to escape the Heat Wave the Western states have been experiencing this week.  At least we are not up to 110 like Boise, which is just 100 miles away as the crow flies.

But the good side of this is, I have been able to get some quilting done this week.  I've made a couple of small projects, two of which are ideal for this fall.

My daughter has been home for the weekend and we have been having a blast. No quilting done this weekend, but I'm okay with that.  Here she is golfing yesterday. She decided she won't be taking up golf any time soon, but had a good time with us.

Yep, she had a good time. Me, too!

Dang it all though. She has to go back to Seattle today. Probably won't see her again 'til Christmas. I hate this part of being a parent.

  1. Glad you got to spend time with your daughter! It is far too hot here in Oregon right now so I am glad to be indoors quilting.

The TR looks great! I have always liked that leaf block but have never done one.

  2. Oh I feel your Pain! in both areas. Just waved good-bye to our son heading to his apt., in all the traffic leaving our town (my up side is he returns often during the summer months). And even though it is HOT here as well--tommorow I will be shifting my chair on the waters edge with the tide. So.... when you coming? Major down side is no quilting gets done! Your leaf block is beautiful!

  7. Nice Maple Leaf block.
Glad you enjoyed your daughter's visit. That's more important than quilting.

  8. Hi,
Enjoyed seeing a peek at your fall leaf runner. My grandma lived in Hailey so got to spend some summers there and planning to come visit your way one of these days (still have some family there). I just participated in a Christmas in July blog hop and enjoyed it and the comments I got so much that I decided I can't just look and run all the time anymore. So looking at how other's do their blogs and definately leaving comments!
    Thanks,
    Sheri

Remembering All The Little Things

I have let my blog side away in lieu of posting photos and updates over on Instagram. For me, it takes less time, and is a faster way to doc...
